dear bloggy..
life without band music really seems a little duller. no, should i say it is much much duller. sighs. i really miss the times in the past when the sec4s were still innocent sec1s, having caring seniors by our side all the time. they took the rap whenever we made any silly mistakes, they kept mum about it when some of us show signs of disrespect. they spent time with us during sectionals whenever it was their breaks. all those memories of the past. i really miss them. i miss the way my seniors took our hands and guided us when we just stepped into main band. all the unfamiliar faces and the fast-paced band life were horrible, yet the seniors made our lives much better by guiding us along in all the ways they could.
now it's the other way round. i don't know whether my juniors feel the same way as i felt 3 years ago, but i definitely feel that we, as seniors, have not been that capable after all. i miss the times when i can spend all my time with my section, with my band friends. but now, the commitment towards band has made me drift from my section instead. it isn't really a nice feeling, but i know it's alright, for it's for the good of the band.
next year when i return, i really hope to see the band soar to greater heights under the leadership of the leaders-to-be. my tears all mostly shed for band, i wish for all the laughter if i can ever get to hear them play again.
